This blue robe is adorned with eyelike patterns. While you wear the robe, you gain the following benefits:

  • The robe lets you see in all directions, and you have advantage on Wisdom ([skill]Perception[/skill]) checks that rely on sight.
  • You see in normal and magical darkness out to a range of 120 feet.
  • You can see [condition]invisible[/condition] creatures and objects, as well as see into the Ethereal Plane, out to a range of 120 feet.
  • You automatically detect visual illusions and succeed on saving throws against them.
  • You perceive the original form of a shapechanger or a creature that is transformed by magic.

The eyes on the robe can’t be closed or averted. Although you can close or avert your own eyes, you are never considered to be doing so while wearing this robe.

A **[spell]**light[/spell] spell cast on the robe or a **[spell]**daylight[/spell] spell cast within 5 feet of the robe causes you to be [condition]blinded[/condition] for 1 minute. At the end of each of your turns, you can make a Constitution saving throw (DC 11 for **[spell]**light[/spell] or DC 15 for [spell]****daylight[/spell]), ending the blindness on a success.

This item communicates by transmitting emotion to the creature carrying or wielding it.

While attuned to the artifact, you are blinded when you are more than 10 feet away from it.

While attuned to the artifact, you suffer a form of indefinite madness. This will be further described by the DM.

“I am convinced that powerful enemies are hunting me, and their agents are everywhere I go. I am sure they’re watching me all the time, and I will not remove my robe of eyes lest they ambush me.”
